Eagles glide to their 2nd straight win
Team No. 09, the Novice Eagles, won their 2nd straight game 5-0 over team No. 11 Saturday morning on Iroquois Pad 2, in front of a full house.

The win was “a complete team effort” said coach Todd Wilson.  The effort started from the net out as Ian G., in his first start, was stellar in securing the team’s first shutout of the season (and maybe the first shutout of young Ian’s career?).  Owen P. got the scoring started in the 1st period using his size to break in from the right side and slip one past the goalie on the short side.   Noa G. scored the 2nd goal on a successful wrap-around attempt while Christian L. followed up with the next two goals, one of which, a wrap-around of his own.  Last week’s goalie, Jacob G. tallied the final marker capping off the offensive explosion.   Defensively, there was a lot of hustle from the Eagles, applying excess pressure on the puck.  As mentioned above, any chances that Team 11 managed were snuffed out by goaltender Ian G.  The player of the game was given to Owen P. who played a very good 200ft game.  Owen summed it up best when asked how he thought the game went:  “It was good”
