Atom, 2016-2017, AAA (Whitby Minor Hockey)

On Dec 6, the Whitby Wildcats Atom AAA team helped bring some Holiday Cheer to the residents at Fairview Lodge. The boys brought shoe boxes filled with gifts and were able to visit with some of the Seniors. It was great to see all those smiling faces!

On November 12, our boys (along with the Kingston Jr Frontenacs team) helped bring awareness to Prostate Cancer by sporting their mustaches at the rink. What a great way to recognize men's health!

To support our Atom AAA hockey team, we will be doing a North Country Meats fundraiser. North Country Meat and Seafood (formerly MacGregor's Meat) are quality products that are served in many restaurants (such as The Keg). These meat and seafood products are excellent and are easy to sell to your friends, co-workers and family. Order forms are due by Wednesday October 5th. Delivery date is Thursday October 13th.

For the month of October, the Whitby Atom AAA boys will be participating in "Paint the Rink Pink" events. The goal of this initiative is to bring attention to Cancer Awareness and support Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre through a fundraising initiative. The boys have been asked to participate in a 1000 puck shooting challenge, where they are required to shoot 200 pucks per week for the next 5 weeks. Our team goal is to raise $1500 for Hearth Place through donations and pledges while involving the kids in raising awareness.
