Minor Atom, 2016-2017, AAA (Whitby Minor Hockey)

As the Minor Atom AAA season is nearing an end, the boys are still having a blast together during practice. The boys worked hard to come out on top during the quarter-finals against Quinte and then faced York-Simcoe for the semi-finals. Every game of the series was close with two of the games going in to OT however York-Simcoe came out on top in game 5 ending Whitby's season together.  Parents and coaches are all proud of the team for their grit and determination during the playoffs and for their hard work and camaraderie throughout the season. 

Along with many WMHA teams, our Minor Atom AAA team had the honour to participate in the 'Pink the Rink' initiative for the month of October. Together our boys raised money and awareness by taking 500 shots each during the month of October while wearing their pink jerseys. On October 29th,  the York-Simcoe Express team joined us in raising funds for Hearth Place in Oshawa with raffles. A special ceremony kicked off the game honouring two very special girls who are battling cancer: Emma and Hayden.
