Bantam Blue, 2016-2017, A (Whitby Minor Hockey)

An amazing Early Bird weekend ends in a championship for Bantam A Blue!  Traveling down the QEW to Hamilton, the boys started the weekend with heavy legs but got better every game.  They came through with a must-win game 3 on Saturday to get to the Sunday morning semis, but not without some casualties.  Down 3 players, the Wildcats showed a ton of heart and came through with a huge victory over a tough Bradford team.   The momentum from the semis continued in the final as Whitby defeated the Hamilton Huskies 3-0 to complete their first Championship weekend of the season.  Great effort, tons ...

Summer skates can be tough to get through sometimes when you'd rather be poolside or doing anything outside so when John Bungaro was able to get Philadelphia Flyers power forward Wayne Simmonds to join our team for a skate, everyone had some extra jump.  Special thanks to Dave D'Silva as well for capturing the event with some great photos.
