The boys have been entered into the Ford Skills and Drills Contest for the month of February.  In order to be entered into this amazing contest, your team has to have given back to the community in some way.  Our team has participated in charity work by raising funds for Hearth Place as well as collecting clothing for Herizon and Denise House. First we would like to start off by saying how exciting was that!!! We are very proud of our Novice A Blue Whitby Wildcats after this weekend's gutsy win in Triple OT to take home the honour of being crowned "Oshawa Hockeyfest" Champions. The weekend started off Friday with the boys toughest loss of the season a 7-2 defeat to a team they had never faced before the Lietrim Hawks. The boys couldn't generate much offence in this game as the Hawks were dominant all over the ice. Congratulations to the Whitby Wildcats Novice A Blue team for their championship title this past weekend at The Peter Mancuso Tournament in Niagara Falls. The tournament started for the boys early Friday morning with a tie against Markham 2- 2.  Next up for the Wildcats was Welland who put up a tough battle in their home arena but the boys found a way to pull out a 2 - 1 win. We had to get up early again to face a team we already faced a day earlier but this time the team was ready and battled to a 3 – 2 victory. These boys and their families were able to donate over 30 full garbage bags of clothes to Herizon House today filling up 2 vans!  Herizon House has said that with all of the clothing they will be sharing with 3 other shelters.  Well done!!
