Undefeated Weekend
The Atom AE Wildcats went undefeated at the Orillia Jim
Wilson Winter Classic this past weekend. It was an early start on Friday
November 11 when the boys boarded the Whitby Fury bus for the day. Our first
game was against the hometown team. We
won with a 6-1 win over the Orillia Terriers. The boys made each parent proud
when they stood on the bus for a moment of silence at 11:00 and then proceeded
to stand while we played Pittance of time. Our next game was against Barrie
Colts, this fast pace game ended in regular time 2-2, the shoot out was about
to begin after six rounds we won. What a game boys!
The team was lucky to have the bus on Saturday as well. Up next was Waterloo where we won 8-1 in our final round robin game. Straight to the finals! Final game was against Peterborough Pete’s it was a tight game where we prevailed and won 2-1. Way to go team! The Coaches and Parents are proud of who these boys are from the way they care about each other on and off the ice, to the many compliments the team received from wait staff, other coaches and the bus driver this weekend. This team made some great memories this weekend. Congrats Team!!!
