Minor Midget AAA- USHL/NCAA/OHL Tour
The Minor Midget AAA team travelled to Pennsylvania and Ohio on a USHL/NCAA/OHL tour over the weekend of October 19th-22nd. They began their visit in Ohio with USHL team the Youngstown Phantoms, next they visited NCAA team the Mercyhurst Lakers in Erie, Pennsylvania. They met with both teams staff, toured their facilities, and had an on ice practice. Their final day was spent with the OHL Erie Otters; the GM talked with the team, then the Erie coaches ran a dryland session and on ice practice.
The players had the opportunity to watch all three teams play some excellent hockey and see for themselves the different options/paths available to them. The staff of each of these teams, like their own coaches, underscored the importance of training, teamwork, and of course academics.
