Bantam, 2016-2017, AAA (Whitby Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to the Bantam AAA team! Outstanding tournament and very proud of the exceptional team effort by everyone! This past weekend they went undefeated with 6 straight wins in the Oshawa Challenge tournament.  The team fought back in the semi finals against the home team Oshawa Generals coming back from a 2-1 deficit in the third winning 4-2. The team then fought back from a 3-1 deficit vs Huron in the third period of the championship game. It went to very exciting, hard fought triple overtime 4-3 victory! Outstanding team effort this weekend boys! 

The Bantam AAA hockey team participated in the inside ride and raised $2,645 for Hearth Place programs supporting children fighting cancer.  Through this event they connected with 6 year old Anabelle who has spent the last year battling leukemia. She was dressed up as the most adorable Snow White and when she wasn't riding she was cheering the boys on.  The team will be dedicating their October 29th game to Anabelle, who will be in attendance. They will be hosting a 50/50 draw with proceeds going to Hearth Place.
